Born Natalie Portman in Jerusalem in 1981, 9 June. Her ancestors on her mother were Jews from Russia and Austria, and the father – Romanian and Polish Jews. Hence her stage name: a surname her grandmother lived in Russia was Portman.
In three years of age together with his family, Natalie left of Israel. To improve the skills of parents they decided to move to the United States.
